Misiones reduces Gross Income Tax for registered professionals
The Government of Misiones has officially reduced the Gross Income Tax rate for registered professionals. Established through Resolution No. 1009 by the Ministry of Finance, the new rate is set at 3.5%, down from the previous 5% reference rate, representing a 1.5 percentage point reduction.
The measure, which will take effect with the October 2026 advance payment, will be integrated directly into the tax rate for individuals rather than being applied as a bonus. The reduction covers a wide range of specialized workers and professionals, including legal, notary, and economic services; medical, dental, and psychological professionals; and architects, engineers, agronomists, and foresters, among others.
This decision is part of a fiscal relief agenda developed in collaboration with the Federation of Professional Colleges and Councils of Misiones (FeCCoProMi). Further discussions are scheduled for November to address other tax aspects, such as the system of retentions and perceptions and their impact on professional taxpayers.
