Misiones Student Parliament approves 40 social and educational initiatives

The 2026 Misiones Student Parliament concluded its ordinary session by approving 40 legislative initiatives designed to address various social, educational, and environmental issues within the province. Under the theme ‘Youth protagonists of the province to come,’ student delegations from across Misiones debated and passed projects covering a wide range of topics.

Key educational and social initiatives include Mbya Guaraní intercultural education, Holocaust and antisemitism awareness workshops, and measures for the inclusion of young people and adults with disabilities. Health-related proposals focused on mental health, emotional well-being, prevention of problematic consumption and addictions, and improved school nutrition.

The approved agenda also addressed modern technological and economic challenges, such as cybersecurity, the application of artificial intelligence in classrooms, and vocational guidance regarding trades and services. Environmental projects included waste management, school gardens, and the creation of nurseries for native flora. Additionally, students proposed improvements for school ventilation, road safety, and student center participation.
