Misiones students advance in international Alumnit@s writing contest

Two short stories from schools in Misiones, Argentina, have reached the podium in the sixth edition of the international Alumnit@s contest. The selected works from the NEA region include “La flor de Académica” by the group Las Cigarras from E. P. E. T. N° 12, and “La leyenda del duende del Vóley del Kilómetro 8” by the group Plumas y Fantasías from Escuela N° 455 José Ingenieros.

A third story from the region, “Don Ernesto: el hombre que hablaba con el viento” by the group Club Popular de Escritores from Chaco, was also selected. The contest, which targets participants aged 10 to 15 writing in teams, has expanded from a national to an international initiative including participants from Mexico, Colombia, Uruguay, and Spain. Winners will be determined through an online public vote on September 28.
