Misiones to host luxury river cruises on the Paraná River
Misiones Governor Hugo Passalacqua met with representatives from Ánima River Cruises to discuss a private investment project aimed at introducing high-end river cruises to the Paraná River. The initiative seeks to connect Puerto Iguazú and Posadas, allowing tourists to explore the Misiones jungle, various waterfalls, and Jesuit reductions via luxury vessels.
The company plans to remodel a vessel in Europe, with an expected arrival in the province by August 2027. The project aims to replicate successful river cruise models found in Europe, the United States, Egypt, and Asia, offering a way for travelers to visit multiple regional attractions without changing accommodations. Governor Passalacqua emphasized the importance of private investment for the province's tourism growth and the recovery of fluvial transport connectivity.
