Misiones to host second international birdwatching meeting

The second edition of the “Volar” International Birdwatching Meeting is scheduled to take place in Misiones, Argentina. The event will begin on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at the Parque Temático de la Cruz in Santa Ana, followed by field excursions on Sunday, November 15.

Organized by the Ministry of Tourism of Misiones with support from Aves Argentina, the program aims to promote sustainable ecotourism through the “Ruta de las Aves de Misiones.” The event will feature lectures, presentations, a provider forum, and a local artisan fair. It is designed for both experienced birdwatchers and beginners, focusing on science, education, and environmental conservation in a region that hosts over 50% of Argentina's biodiversity and more than 570 bird species.
