Misiones to host XVIII National Mastology Conference

The province of Misiones will host the XVIII National Mastology Conference for the first time on September 3 and 4 at the Parque del Conocimiento in Posadas. Organized by the Argentine Society of Mastology, the event will bring together medical specialists from Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Colombia.

The conference will focus on presenting long-term research and debating new protocols for the detection, treatment, and follow-up of breast diseases. A key topic of discussion includes the increasing detection of these diseases in younger patients.

Dr. Carlos María Álvarez, secretary of the Misionera Association of Mastology, noted that while Misiones shows slightly lower indicators than the national average in Argentina, the province follows similar trends to the rest of the country. He emphasized that access to consultations and studies significantly impacts local statistics.
