Misiones to implement differential electricity subsidies in November

Misiones will implement a new differential electricity subsidy scheme (SEF) starting in November. The measure, following requests from Governor Hugo Passalacqua, recognizes the entire province as a 'very warm climate' zone to account for higher energy demands.

Under the new regime, residential users and electrical cooperatives receiving national subsidies will be eligible for up to 500 kWh of subsidized electricity per month between November and April to combat high temperatures. For the remaining six months of the year, the subsidized block will be up to 300 kWh per month.

Users can verify their eligibility by checking their electricity bills for the notation 'CON SEF' (with SEF) or 'SIN SEF' (without SEF). Those not currently receiving the benefit must register through the national subsidy access registry (RASE), provided their family group's average income does not exceed four million pesos. Energía de Misiones is coordinating with local municipalities to assist families who face difficulties accessing the registration technology.
