Miskolc secures 225 million HUF for municipal energy management

The Municipality of Miskolc has secured 225 million HUF in non-reimbursable European Union funding through the Digital Renewal Operational Program Plus (DIMOP Plusz) to implement an energy management system.

The project involves establishing local energy management systems in 23 municipal buildings to optimize energy consumption, reduce costs, and promote environmental sustainability. The initiative focuses on data-driven decision-making, utilizing real-time monitoring, automated controls, and data analysis rather than estimates.

The development is being carried out in a consortium including Miskolc Holding Zrt., MIHŐ Miskolci Hőszolgáltató Kft., Miskolci Fürdők Kft., and MVK Miskolc Városi Közlekedési Zrt. The project is scheduled for completion by October 31, 2027.
