Miss Angola Universo clarifies provincial selection process

The Miss Angola Universo organization has clarified its selection procedures for provincial representatives following concerns regarding local contests. Due to several provinces failing to meet administrative requirements, deadlines, and fee payments, the national committee conducted an early casting process to ensure regional representation in the national final.

As a result of this contingency measure, representatives were selected from Uíge, Bié, Bengo, Huambo, Cuando Norte, Cuando Sul, Benguela, and Cunene. The organization emphasized that the process adhered to national and international standards of transparency and equality.

In preparation for the upcoming Miss Angola gala on October 2 in Luanda, Estefânia José, representing Malanje, is currently undergoing final training. The competition aims to combine beauty representation with the promotion of cultural identity and social causes.
