Miss Potenza and Miss Matera elected at Miss Italia regional final
Letizia Esposito and Caterina Porsia have been named Miss Potenza and Miss Matera, respectively, following the Miss Italia regional final for Puglia and Basilicata. The event was held on August 21 at the Teatro Stabile in Potenza.
Esposito, an 18-year-old student from Potenza, received the Miss Potenza title. Porsia, a 20-year-old chemistry and pharmaceutical technologies student from Grottole, was awarded the Miss Matera title. Both winners will represent the Basilicata region in the national stages of the Miss Italia 2026 competition.
The ceremony included presentations by local institutional representatives and was hosted by Katia Buchicchio, the current Miss Italia. The program featured a monologue on femicide by Christian Binetti and musical performances by Elena Cappiello.
