Miss Uganda 2026 wears C-section inspired gown at Miss World

Miss Uganda 2026 has gained international attention at the Miss World pageant in Vietnam for wearing a unique gown titled ‘Layers of Life’. Designed by Keesha Abdallah for the World Designer Award, the ensemble serves as a tribute to the miracle of childbirth and the experiences of mothers who undergo Caesarean sections.

The gown features a mermaid silhouette with an ombré palette transitioning from peach and gold to deep red and burgundy. Its central concept involves seven distinct layers, each representing a different stage or layer of the body involved in a C-section procedure. Designer Keesha Abdallah stated that the project was inspired by her own experience as a first-time mother and aimed to use high fashion to narrate the journey of bringing life into the world.
