Miss Universe Cabo Verde Announces Top 10 Finalists in Praia

The Miss Universe Cabo Verde organization held a ceremony on Saturday, 1 August, at the Bar Panorama of the Hotel Oásis Praia Mar in Praia to present the ten finalists for the country's first edition of the pageant. Each contestant received a sash representing one of the islands, symbolising the archipelago's diversity and cultural heritage. The ten women—Tirzah Évora, Annet Lopes, Armandina Cunha, Eveline Cardoso, Felicia Borges, Jamila Moreira, Jasmine Jorgensen, Letícia Marques, Nélida Monteiro and Mary John—were selected after multiple evaluation stages that emphasized communication skills, confidence, leadership, and social awareness.

The final competition is scheduled for 15 August at the Assembleia Nacional in Praia, where the winner will become Cape Verde's inaugural representative at the 75th Miss Universe pageant in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in November 2026. The event is promoted as a "beauty with impact" platform and is led by Nereida Lobo, founder of the Little Crowns Foundation and holder of the Miss Universe license for Cape Verde.
