Dominga López crowned Miss Universo Chile 2026 to compete in Puerto Rico

Dominga López, a 24‑year‑old journalist and communication graduate from Viña del Mar, was crowned Miss Universo Chile 2026 on 2 August, succeeding Inna Moll. She will represent Chile at the Miss Universe pageant in November in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The final, broadcast by Mega, drew record viewership, averaging 712 190 viewers per minute and peaking at 808 514. The judging panel was led by Viviana Nunes and included Carolina de Moras, Camila Andrade, Josefina Montané, José Antonio Neme and Edgardo Navarro.

López discussed her childhood bullying in an interview, noting how the experience shaped her confidence. Former contestant Ignacia Michelson alleged the competition was pre‑arranged, while commentator Jorge Aldoney expressed doubts about López’s chances of reaching the Miss Universe top five. During the live question round, López criticized the anti‑abortion “Escucha su corazón” bill, drawing applause.
