Danielle Adewusi crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2026

Danielle Adewusi has been crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2026. Representing Lagos State, Adewusi emerged as the winner from a field of 20 contestants during a grand finale held at the Balmoral Hall in Lagos.

Adewusi is a medical doctor who studied at King’s College London, holding an MBBS and a first-class BSc in Psychology. She intends to use her platform to advance her women’s health advocacy project, ‘Scrub the Stigma,’ which aims to address misconceptions and silence surrounding women’s healthcare.

Her victory holds significant family history, as her mother, Tonia Okogbenin, previously held the Miss Universe Nigeria title in 1991. Adewusi will represent Nigeria at the 75th Miss Universe Festival, scheduled for November 24, 2026, in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
