Miss Universe Organization denies Vietnam hosting 2027 pageant

The Miss Universe Organization (MUO) has issued a denial regarding reports that Vietnam will host the 76th Miss Universe competition in 2027. An earlier announcement on a Miss Universe-branded website and a verified Facebook page claimed Vietnam had been selected, citing Legacy Holding Group, S. A. de C. V. (referred to as ‘MU East’) as the entity responsible for the competition’s execution.

In a subsequent clarification, the MUO stated that Vietnam has not been designated as the host country. The organization warned that its official website and social media accounts had been taken over by unauthorized individuals. The MUO further clarified that ‘MU East’ does not exist as an authorized representative, affiliate, or division of the organization and that any such announcement has no official effect.

According to the MUO, the official host for the 2027 pageant will be announced at the conclusion of the 75th Miss Universe competition in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The organization advised that official communications are only issued through authorized representatives on its legitimate digital platforms.
