Miss Venezuela 2026 begins with official band assignment gala

The Miss Venezuela 2026 competition has officially commenced with the band assignment gala held at Venevision’s Estudio 1. Twenty-five candidates participated in the event, where they were formally assigned to represent various states and regions of the country.

The televised ceremony, hosted by Leo Aldana, featured an opening performance involving former titleholders such as Clara Vegas, Silvia Maestre, Valeria Di Martino, and Mística Núñez. This season places a specific emphasis on social commitment and the candidates' dance abilities.

In a move toward increased digital interactivity, the competition has introduced a digital voting system for “special bands.” Viewers can participate via QR codes displayed during broadcasts to vote for specific attributes of the contestants. The winners of these special awards are scheduled to be announced during a gala on November 5.
