Silvia Maestre’s “La Guaira Renace” Costume Honors Earthquake Victims

Miss Venezuela Supranational 2025 title‑holder Silvia Maestre presented a national costume named “La Guaira Renace” at the international pageant in Poland. Designed by Dan Rojas, the outfit features a headdress that symbolizes the “Eye of La Guaira” and is intended as a tribute to the people who died or were displaced by the devastating earthquake that struck La Guaira on 24 June.

The costume’s imagery – blue sea, bright sun and a hopeful slogan “La Guaira always finds the horizon” – seeks to convey resilience and a promise of renewal for the coastal town, while also raising global awareness of the tragedy during the competition.
