Miss World 2026 opens in Quảng Ninh, Vietnam

The 73rd Miss World pageant has officially commenced in Quảng Ninh province, Vietnam. The opening ceremony, themed ‘Welcome Miss World to Quảng Ninh - Việt Nam’, was held at the Ha Long Marina Square before an audience of approximately 10,000 people.

During the event, 111 contestants participated in a showcase featuring the ‘Tinh hoa lụa Việt’ Ao Dai collection designed by Đỗ Trịnh Hoài Nam. The presentation utilized the traditional Vietnamese garment and hand-painted ‘nón lá’ (conical hats) depicting local landmarks such as Ha Long Bay and the Yên Tử relic complex to introduce Vietnamese heritage to a global audience.

The pageant will span nearly a month, with activities scheduled to take place across three provinces: Quảng Ninh, Hải Phòng, and Khánh Hòa.
