Missing 11-year-old boy found dead in Lenggeng pond

An 11-year-old boy has been found dead after going missing during a tahfiz program in Kampung Kapal, Lenggeng, Negeri Sembilan. The child was participating in the Tahfiz Maghfirah Junior (TMJ) program at Yayasan Maghfirah when he was reported missing at 12:28 a.m.

Following a search operation conducted by the police and relevant authorities, the boy was discovered in a weak state in a water pond near the location. Although resuscitation efforts were provided, medical officers from the Lenggeng Health Clinic confirmed his death.

The body has been sent to the Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital Forensic Department for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. Nilai District Police Chief Superintendent Johari Yahya stated that an investigation is ongoing to establish the chronology of events and to determine if there were any elements of negligence involved. Police have advised the public to refrain from speculation and to respect the privacy of the victim's family.
