Sofía Madai, 11-year-old missing girl, found dead in Estado de México

Sofía Madai Calzada Calzada, an 11-year-old girl reported missing from the Benito Juárez neighborhood in Tultitlán, Estado de México, has been found dead. Her body was located on September 29 near the Chamapa-Lechería highway in the municipality of Cuautitlán Izcalli, specifically near San Martín Obispo.

Initially identified as an unknown person, her identity was confirmed through DNA testing provided by her parents to the Fiscalía General de Justicia del Estado de México (FGJEM). The investigation is being handled under a femicide protocol to determine the circumstances and motives behind her death. The National Guard assisted in the initial response at the scene.
