Missing Air Force General McCasland linked to UFO allegations

The disappearance of retired Air Force General William Neil McCasland has gained renewed attention following claims by UFO whistleblower David Grusch. McCasland, 68, vanished from his home in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on February 27. At the time of his disappearance, his cellphone, prescription glasses, and wearable devices were reportedly left behind.

McCasland previously commanded the Air Force Research Laboratory, managing significant military science and technology programs. He held senior roles at both Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.

During a podcast appearance, Grusch—who testified in 2023 regarding secret government programs to recover non-human craft—alleged that McCasland was involved in an initiative to prepare the public for potential UFO disclosure. Grusch noted the timing of the disappearance occurred shortly after an announcement regarding the release of files related to extraterrestrials.
