Missing Araucária Worker Jefferson Cardoso Santos Found After Disappearance

Jefferson Cardoso Santos, a 35‑year‑old employee of UBVA Vidros Ferragens in Araucária, Paraná, vanished on the evening of August 5 while driving home after leaving work at about 18:00. He was last seen heading toward the Capela Velha neighbourhood in his silver 2009 Chevrolet Prisma. Family members and local residents launched a search, sharing his description on social media.

The next day, authorities located Santos on a roadside. He received emergency medical assistance and was taken to a health unit in São José dos Pinheiros. Santos was reported to have experienced a brief period of disorientation before being found, and he is now back with his family.

The case highlights the frequency of disappearances in Paraná, which has recorded over 13,000 missing‑person reports in the past two years.
