Missing couple Laura González and Cristopher Díaz disappear in Chile's Cajón del Maipo

A couple, Laura González Pozo (35) and Cristopher Díaz Chamorro (32), were reported missing on 2 August while traveling to El Canelo Alto in the Cajón del Maipo region of Chile. Their sister Mariana posted on Instagram that the pair left La Reina around 3 p.m., took the metro to Las Mercedes, then a bus to El Canelo, after which they lost contact and their phones were turned off.

Police opened a missing‑person investigation and search teams are combing the area. The family and volunteers continue to seek information, urging anyone with clues to contact authorities immediately.
