Missing elderly man found dead in Concórdia

A 73-year-old man who had been missing for 10 days was found dead in a wooded area in Concórdia, Santa Catarina, on Tuesday. The body was in an advanced state of decomposition, and authorities were only able to identify the victim using a document found in his wallet.

The Military Police of Santa Catarina reported that the man was last seen on October 17 when he left home to collect a government benefit. His partner informed police that he frequently spent time in the area where the body was discovered, near Rua Imaculada Conceição.

Investigators have not yet determined the cause of death, noting that the condition of the body made it difficult to identify signs of violence at the scene.
