Missing lawyer's motorcycle and belongings found in Bahia

The motorcycle and personal belongings of missing lawyer Gabriel da Silva Alves were discovered in a wooded area in the rural zone of Xique-Xique, Bahia. The motorcycle was found inside a hole within a vegetated area, alongside his glasses and a pair of sandals.

Alves was last seen on Saturday, August 22, leaving a bar after a social gathering. Following his departure, he reportedly made a phone call to a friend that was filled with interference, making it impossible to understand his words.

Search efforts by family, friends, and authorities have spanned various terrains, including caatinga regions, river areas via canoe, and riverside communities. While the belongings have been located, the lawyer remains missing. The Civil Police are continuing the investigation, and the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB-BA) is monitoring the case.
