Missing person search launched in São João da Madeira

Abílio de Jesus Ferreira, approximately 55 years old, has been missing since Monday, October 26, after being last seen at his residence in São João da Madeira.

His family has expressed significant concern due to his health conditions, which include cognitive deficits, hearing loss, and liver cirrhosis. He may also experience mobility issues due to pain in his legs and feet. He was last known to be in the Coelhosa area, in the municipality of Vale de Cambra, though his current location is unconfirmed.

Ferreira is approximately 1.65 meters tall and may be wearing a dark blue jacket or fleece. He left his home without a mobile phone or wallet, carrying only his citizen card. His family is appealing to the public in São João da Madeira, Vale de Cambra, Oliveira de Azeméis, and surrounding areas for assistance. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Guarda Nacional Republicana (GNR) or local police.
