Missing Persons Searches in the Dominican Republic and Argentina

In Santo Domingo Este, Dominican Republic, authorities and the family of Pablo Antonio Jiménez Santana, known as “Ilustre,” are appealing for help after he vanished on the night of 21 July. Jiménez left his home around 9 p.m. wearing a white T‑shirt, grey sport pants and sandals, and his relatives note he had been depressed. They have provided his phone number and personal documents to police and ask anyone with information to call 849‑710‑2803.

In Argentina, police in Santiago del Estero are conducting an intensive search for eight‑year‑old Thomás Alonso Jiménez, who disappeared on 23 July after his father, Rodolfo Alonso, allegedly took him from the province without notice. The mother has requested activation of the national “Alerta Sofía” system and heightened checks on routes and airports, fearing the child may have been moved to another province. Authorities have listed the division’s contact numbers 422‑6638 and 154‑971‑621.

Both cases involve families pleading for public assistance to locate missing relatives, highlighting concerns over mental health and parental custody disputes.
