Missing Teens Safdar Hanif and Esme Reported in Scotland and England

Police Scotland have issued a renewed appeal for 16‑year‑old Safdar Hanif, who was reported missing from Edinburgh on 24 July. He was later sighted on a number 900 bus in Glasgow city centre on the night of 24 July and again near Glenbrittle Street in Paisley on 27 July. Chief Inspector Scott Kennedy urged anyone with information to contact police via 101, quoting incident number 0803.

Surrey Police are searching for 15‑year‑old Esme of Reigate, declared missing on the morning of 31 July after being last seen at Reigate train station on 30 July. Officers believe she may have been travelling with another girl of similar age. They appealed for the public to provide any details, reference PR/45260091923, and highlighted her description – a white girl, about 5 ft 1 in, medium build, dyed red hair, wearing a black jumper with a turtle, white shorts and trainers.

Both appeals stress the urgency of locating the teenagers and ask anyone with information to contact the respective police forces.
