Mississauga mayoral race tied between Parrish and Crombie

A new survey by Liaison Strategies indicates a tie in the Mississauga mayoral race between incumbent Carolyn Parrish and former mayor Bonnie Crombie. Among decided and leaning voters, both candidates hold 35% support.

Other candidates include Dipika Damerla at 18% and Alvin Tedjo at 12% among decided and leaning voters. When considering all voters, Parrish and Crombie are tied at 26% each, while Damerla and Tedjo hold 13% and 9% respectively. The survey notes that 26% of voters remain undecided.

The data also reflects a negative sentiment regarding the city's direction, with 46% of residents stating Mississauga is moving in the wrong direction, compared to 32% who believe it is moving in the right direction. Mayor Parrish's job approval stands at 38%, with a 42% disapproval rating.
