Mississippi State and No. 9 Tennessee play to scoreless draw

Mississippi State and No. 9 Tennessee played to a scoreless draw in an SEC matchup at Regal Soccer Stadium. The result marks the first time Tennessee has been shut out since 2015.

Mississippi State dominated the first half, outshooting Tennessee 11-0 and preventing the Lady Vols from recording a single shot in the opening 45 minutes. Mississippi State goalkeeper Jenny Harrison earned her third shutout of the season, while Tennessee goalkeeper Cayden Norris recorded three saves to help secure the point for the Lady Vols.

The match was highly physical, featuring 30 fouls and three cards. In the 77th minute, Tennessee defender Nyla Blue received a red card following a VAR review for denying an obvious goal-scoring opportunity.
