Mississippi State defeats Oklahoma State 4-1 in soccer
Mississippi State defeated Oklahoma State 4-1 in their first road match of the season. The Bulldogs improved their record to 4-0-0 with the victory, while the Cowgirls fell to 1-2-1.
Oklahoma State took an early lead just over two minutes into the match when Brenna Rowlett headed in a corner kick from Addy Lang. However, Mississippi State responded with three goals in the first half. Eden Nicholson equalized in the 18th minute, followed by a header from Hailey Johnson. Reganne Morris and Kyli Switalski, who converted a penalty kick, added two more goals late in the half to secure the lead before the break.
Oklahoma State is scheduled to host Grambling State this Sunday.
