Missoula hosts women's running festival and opens marathon registration

The Fierce Fab Women's Running Festival is scheduled for Sunday, September 27, at the Historical Museum at Fort Missoula. Presented by Run Wild Missoula and the Silver Lining Foundation, the event encourages women to participate through walking, jogging, running, or dancing to complete as many one-mile laps as possible within a two-hour window.

The festival includes a flower memorial to honor those lost to breast cancer, where participants place flowers along the finish-line chute. Activities include music, face painting, and brunch bites.

Additionally, registration has opened for the 2027 Missoula Marathon weekend, scheduled for June 25–27, 2027. The weekend will feature the Tony Banovich 5K and Kids Marathon on Saturday, followed by the Half Marathon and full Marathon on Sunday. Early registration offers lower pricing before rates increase on September 30.
