Missoula ranks 70th best U.S. city for retirement

WalletHub has released a ranking of the best and worst places to retire in the United States, evaluating more than 180 cities across 45 metrics including tax laws, cost of living, healthcare quality, and available activities.

Missoula, Montana, was ranked as the 70th best place to retire, placing it in the bottom half of the list. While the city performed well in specific categories—ranking 3rd in healthcare quality and in the top 50 for activities—it scored poorly in affordability (No. 132) and quality of life (No. 163 out of 182).

Billings, Montana, was the only other city in the state included in the study, ranking at No. 136. Orlando, Florida, took the top spot for the best place to retire.
