Missouri Attorney General investigates Students for Justice in Palestine

Missouri Attorney General Catherine Hanaway has launched a financial investigation into Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP). The probe aims to identify the sources of the group's funding and track how funds are transferred between national and campus chapters.

Hanaway stated that the investigation focuses on financial activity and potential support for terrorism rather than the group's anti-Israel rhetoric, noting that the organization uses complex methods to move money through various entities.

Additionally, Hanaway’s office is maintaining an open investigation into the campaign spending of former Democratic Congresswoman Cori Bush. Hanaway has also supported legislation intended to protect Jewish students within schools.
