Missouri Attorney General partners with Mizzou Law to support veterans
Missouri Attorney General Catherine Hanaway has announced the reinvigoration of the Attorney General’s Office Defenders program through a new partnership with the University of Missouri School of Law Veterans Clinic.
The Defenders program is designed to provide pro bono assistance to active-duty service members, reservists, and National Guard personnel, as well as veterans with honorable discharges. Key services include referrals for legal representation regarding the Servicemembers’ Civil Relief Act (SCRA) and the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA).
Additionally, the program aims to combat predatory business practices targeting the military community and provide educational resources on consumer protection and civil legal rights for service members.
