Missouri basketball forward Jaylen Carey suspended indefinitely

Missouri head coach Dennis Gates announced the indefinite suspension of forward Jaylen Carey due to a violation of team rules. Carey, a former Tennessee player, transferred to Missouri but did not appear in either of the Tigers’ recent exhibition contests.

During his time at Tennessee, Carey averaged 7.4 points and six rebounds per game. His suspension comes as Missouri prepares to open its season against Cleveland State. Additionally, coach Gates noted that forward Luke Northweather will miss the season opener as a precaution, while the availability of guard CJ Gunn remains uncertain.
