Missouri man charged with murder after body found under concrete

Jackson County Prosecutor Melesa Johnson has announced charges against William T. Morrison, 62, for the alleged murder of his business partner, 45-year-old Jonathan Brown. Morrison faces charges of first-degree murder and armed criminal action.

According to court records, Brown was last seen on May 10, 2024, traveling in a white sedan to a property owned by Morrison to perform concrete work. While a missing person report was filed on May 13, the victim's remains were not discovered until May 23. Following alerts from Missouri Task Force cadaver canines, investigators excavated a freshly poured concrete slab in the basement of the property and recovered Brown's body, which showed a single gunshot wound to the back of the head.

Detectives also recovered the victim's wallet at the residence. Morrison is currently being held without bond.
