Missouri Tigers' Ahmad Hardy cleared medically after May shooting, begins comeback
Missouri Tigers running back Ahmad Hardy made his first public appearance since being shot at a concert in Laurel, Mississippi on May 10. He held a meet‑and‑greet at the Pierpont General Store in Columbia, thanking fans: “My fans, the people in Columbia, they love me, and I cherish that.”
Head coach Eli Drinkwitz announced that Hardy was medically cleared on July 20 and is now in rehab, with an estimated five‑to‑eight‑week return‑to‑play protocol. Hardy said he felt “great” about the clearance and praised the support of teammates and supporters as he works toward getting back on the field.
While his exact timeline remains uncertain, the team and fans remain hopeful that Hardy will soon rejoin the Missouri Tigers roster.
