Australian singer-songwriter Missy Higgins has been announced as a performer for the 2026 Savannah in the Round festival in Mareeba this October. The multi-ARIA Award-winning artist joins a diverse four-day lineup that includes over 60 artists, such as Icehouse, Don McLean, Tyler Braden, Lee Kernaghan, Ian Moss, and Troy Cassar-Daley.

Environment and Tourism Minister Andrew Powell stated that the event is projected to generate approximately 62,000 direct visitor nights and contribute $12.7 million to the Queensland economy. The festival is expected to support local jobs and drive visitor spending throughout the Tropical North region.
