Misterbianco receives new official city flag
The city of Misterbianco has officially received its new municipal flag. During an institutional ceremony on October 12, 2026, the Prefect of Catania, Pietro Signoriello, delivered the presidential decree to Mayor Marco Corsaro.
The new flag was granted via a decree from the President of the Republic on October 6, 2025. The design features a white and blue field, bisected by the civic coat of arms and decorated with tricolor ribbons. This new symbol completes the city's official heraldic emblems, which include a coat of arms and a banner previously granted in 1969.
The administrative process for the new flag was initiated by the local government and received unanimous approval from the City Council in May 2025. The heraldic miniature was produced by Pagnini Araldica of Florence.
