Misting station installed in Hradec Králové's Jiráskovy Sady

A temporary misting (fog) station has been set up in Jiráskovy Sady, near the floral school in Hradec Králové. The installation, financed by Hradec Králové water utilities and coordinated with the city’s property management, will operate until 16 August 2026. It is intended to provide quick relief on hot summer days for families, seniors, and athletes. Press spokesperson Jitka Zoubková said the misting facility will help visitors cool down in the park's oasis. The system will later be moved to a nearby international Ironman triathlon event, where it will serve both participants and spectators. Královéhradecká provozní general director Tomáš Hosa highlighted the role of water features in mitigating urban heat‑island effects and enhancing public spaces.
