Mistyczka film reaches 200,000 viewers in Poland

The Polish biographical film ‘Mistyczka’ has reached a significant milestone, with over 200,000 viewers attending screenings since its release. The production, which explores the life of Alicja Lenczewska, a teacher from Szczecin who underwent a profound spiritual transformation, is currently being shown in over 100 cinemas across Poland.

Distributor Rafael Film reported that some screenings have even sold out. The film’s development was supported by nearly 6,000 donors. Starring Dorota Chotecka-Pazura, the movie is described as an intimate portrait of a woman redefining her life and seeking spiritual meaning, rather than a traditional religious narrative.

Lenczewska’s private diaries, published after her death, became a significant phenomenon in contemporary Polish spirituality. The film has received positive reception from audiences, maintaining a notable rating on platforms such as Filmweb.
