Ümit Uysal reaffirms loyalty to CHP during book launch

Muratpaşa Mayor Ümit Uysal reaffirmed his loyalty to the Republican People's Party (CHP) during a book promotion event in Antalya for the third edition of his book, ‘21. Yüzyılda Yeniden Cumhuriyet’ (The Republic Again in the 21st Century).

Speaking at the Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Uysal stated that leaving the CHP is not an option he would consider, regardless of who the party leader might be. He emphasized that his stance is rooted in his love for Turkey rather than political fanaticism, noting that his entire life has been connected to the party.

Uysal also addressed global shifts, noting significant changes in income distribution and the evolving nature of politics. He highlighted economic freedom as one of the Republic's most vital achievements and argued that maintaining established political institutions like the CHP is essential for moving toward the future. While he expressed respect for those who choose to leave the party, he stated he does not agree with such decisions.
