MIT-WPU partners with FPSB India for CFP® certification
The School of Commerce & Economics at MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU) in Pune has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with FPSB India, the Indian subsidiary of the Financial Planning Standards Board Ltd.
The partnership aims to allow eligible students to pursue the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) certification alongside their regular academic coursework. This collaboration is designed to provide students with globally recognized education in financial planning and wealth management, preparing them for careers in banking, insurance, investment advisory, fintech, and other financial services sectors.
The CFP® certification covers essential areas such as investment planning, retirement planning, taxation, risk management, and estate planning. This initiative seeks to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements as the demand for professional financial advice grows in India.
