Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear has called for more transparency, urging McConnell to provide a video update to his constituents to demonstrate his capacity to serve. In response, Senator Rand Paul has defended McConnell, stating he does not understand the public demand for more medical details, noting that McConnell had previously announced he would not seek re-election and that aging involves natural physical declines.
