Minocqua Brewing Company offers half‑price beer if Sen. Mitch McConnell dies

Wisconsin‑based Minocqua Brewing Company announced on Instagram that it will sell beer at 50% off when Senator Mitch McConnell dies, calling the Kentucky Republican responsible for about half of America’s problems. The promotion follows the brewery’s earlier pledge to give away free beer if former President Donald Trump dies and has drawn criticism from Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, who has demanded McConnell address his health or resign, and from the Wisconsin Department of Revenue, which has threatened to revoke the brewery’s permit over tax‑related issues. Owner Kirk Bangstad, a Democratic activist, framed the offer as a response to McConnell’s prolonged absence from the Senate and referenced Kentucky law that would leave the seat vacant until January if a special election is not called by August 3.
