Mitchell Lokken arrested after stabbing in Grove City

A 23-year-old man, Mitchell Lokken of Grove City, was arrested following a stabbing incident in Meeker County on Sunday morning. Authorities responded to a residence in the 800 block of Maple Lane around 9:30 a.m. after receiving reports of an assault.

Upon arrival, deputies found family members providing medical aid to a 44-year-old woman who had sustained a stab wound to the chest. The victim was initially taken to Meeker Memorial Hospital before being airlifted to HCMC for further treatment. Officials stated the victim is expected to survive.

Family members reportedly detained Lokken at the scene until law enforcement arrived. Investigators indicated that the victim and the suspect were acquaintances and that the incident stemmed from a disagreement between the two. Lokken is being held in the Meeker County Jail.
