Mitchell Robinson criticizes performance in Celtics debut

Mitchell Robinson expressed dissatisfaction with his regular-season debut for the Boston Celtics during a 121-113 loss to the Detroit Pistons. The center, a key offseason acquisition intended to strengthen Boston's interior presence, specifically cited struggles with rebounding.

Robinson stated that he failed to compete at his usual level and was slow in several areas, noting, “I got my ass kicked on the glass. I can’t have no starts like that.” Despite the underwhelming performance, Robinson indicated he would be fine following a minor ankle tweak.

Robinson's next opportunity to respond comes this Friday when the Celtics face his former team, the New York Knicks. Former teammate Josh Hart noted that the matchup will likely involve the same physical rebounding battles they shared in New York.
