Robinson is recognized as an elite offensive rebounder, having averaged 4.2 offensive rebounds per game during his time with the New York Knicks. Beyond rebounding, his defensive capabilities are notable; he ranked in the 95th percentile for shot-blocking per 75 possessions and recorded a block on 27% of his shot contests.

However, Robinson faces a significant challenge regarding his free-throw shooting. He recorded a career-low 40.8% from the free-throw line last season.
