Mitchell Santner leads Edinburgh Castle Rockers to victory over Dublin Guardians

Mitchell Santner led the Edinburgh Castle Rockers to a four-wicket victory over the Dublin Guardians in the European T20 Premier League (ETPL) at Sportpark Westvliet. After Dublin won the toss and elected to bat, Edinburgh’s bowling attack dismissed them for 109 runs in 18 overs.

Santner delivered a standout performance, claiming his maiden T20 five-wicket haul with figures of 5 for 16 from his four overs. He dismissed Daryl Mitchell, Benjamin Calitz, George Dockrell, James Vince, and Matt Hollard. James Vince provided the most resistance for Dublin with 40 runs off 30 balls.

Edinburgh chased down the target with 38 balls to spare, securing the win and earning Santner the Player of the Match award. Supporting the bowling effort, Trent Boult took two wickets, while Tom Curran, Jack Jarvis, and JJ Smuts each claimed one.
